A Noisy Silence – Library of Civil Disobedience (LoCD)
Vielen, die immer wieder und verzweifelt ihre Stimme erheben und nicht oder nie gehört werden, bleibt oft nur ein beredtes Schweigen eine Stille, aus der Hoffnungslosigkeit und Verzweiflung schreit: Ein letzter Versuch – eine Noisy Silence – vielleicht doch gehört zu werden und der Sprachlosigkeit Gehör zu verleihen. Die Bibliothek des zivilen Ungehorsams (LoCD) versucht mit diesem von SHIFT geförderten Projekt Künstler*innen und Aktivist*innen zu versammeln, die sich mit der Stille oder dem Schweigen als Form des Protests und Widerstands auseinandersetzen. Das eintägige Programm von Noisy Silence umfasst eine Ausstellung, Interventionen, Performances, Talks und Präsentationen in der Brunnenpassage.
Many who repeatedly and desperately raise their voices, are not or never heard and often left with only an eloquent silence a silence from which hopelessness and despair cry out: one last attempt a noisy silence perhaps to be heard after all and to give voice to speechlessness.
With this project, funded by SHIFT, the Library of Civil Disobedience (LoCD) aims to bring together artists and activists who explore silence as a form of protest and resistance. This one-day program of Noisy Silenceincludes an exhibition, interventions, performances, talks, and presentations at Brunnenpassage.
Exhibition: 10 am to 6 pm
- 10:30 am – 12 am Intervention Workshop: Mirjana Mustra and her class (2FSA is the class and the school: k17 Bundesschulen Kalvarienberg). Please note that the intervention workshop with school students is closed to the public. Public access is limited to the programs scheduled between 1:30 pm and 17pm.
- 1:30 pm –2 pm Presentation: LOCD and its Mobile Library (designed by Ovidiu Anton); Speakers: Negin Rezai and Andreas Spiegl
- 4 pm – 5 pm Dialogues and discussion LoCD in dialogue with Barbara Holub, Oliver Ressler and Iklim Dogan
- 5 pm – 5:30 pm Zoe Gudovic – Intervention
- 5:30 pm – 6 pm Ulduz Ahmadzadeh – Intervention & Talk: Dance as form of silent Resistance
- 6 pm – 6:30 pm Anne Widerhold – Book presentation
