Am Rande und inmitten der Stadt, verstreut wie kleine urbane Inseln stehen sie rum – die Imbiss-Buden, die ihre Kund*innen aus allen Schichten der Gesellschaft willkommen heißen, nicht selten umgeben von einer Klangwolke aus sozialer und nationaler Mehrsprachigkeit, in der politischer Disput, die Aufregung ums Wetter und die Ereignisse des Tages ineinander übergehen. Ein Soziotop, in dem sich Menschen unterschiedlichen Gemüts, mit zu viel oder ohne Arbeit spontan wie aus Gewohnheit einfinden und eine Auszeit gönnen: eine Kultur der Unterbrechung und Grund genug für das IM BISS-Projekt, die Orte musikalisch zu besuchen und sich in die soziale Partitur vor Ort einzuschreiben.
Die Poesie mancher Sprüche kehrt in den Liedern genauso wieder wie die Freiheit, sich keinBlatt vor den Mund zu nehmen. Diversität ist hier nicht nur eine politische Forderung, sondern gelebter Alltag – Grund genug für das Projekt der Bibliothek des zivilen Ungehorsams gemeinsam mit Im BISS auch denen.eine Stimme zu geben, die sonst nicht gehört werden und den Abstand zwischen Recht undGerechtigkeit zum Ausdruck bringen – die Poesie von Gemeinsamkeiten über die sozialen, sprachlichen und kulturellen Grenzen hinweg: Manchmal nebeneinander und manchmal einfach miteinander, als wäre das, war wir Demokratie nennen, eine Kreation der Imbiss-Buden. Ganzschön süß und ganz schön scharf.

On the edges and in the middle of the city, scattered like small urban islands, they stand — the snack stands (Imbiss-Buden), welcoming customers from all walks of life. They are often surrounded by a cloud of sound, shaped by social and national multilingualism, where political debate, excitement about the weather, and the day’s events all blend into one. A sociotope where people of various moods, either overworked or unemployed, gather spontaneously or out of habit to take a break — a culture of interruption. This is more than reason enough for the IM BISS project to musically visit these places and inscribe itself into the local social score.
The poetry of some slogans finds its way into the songs, just like the freedom to speak one’s mind without holding back. Diversity here isn’t just a political demand — it’s a lived reality. This is what makes it so important for the Library of Civil Disobedience, together with IM BISS, to give a voice to those who are otherwise unheard — and to express the gap between law and justice.It’s the poetry of shared experience across social, linguistic, and cultural boundaries —sometimes side by side, and sometimes simply together. As if what we call democracy were invented at a snack stand. Quite sweet. Quite spicy.
